DesireMe officially went offline in September 2024. While the platform once positioned itself as a fresh option for adult content creators, it ultimately struggled with low traffic, limited earning potential, and poor transparency. Management handled the shutdown respectfully by paying outstanding balances to creators, butthe promised relaunch announcement is now over a year old with no further updates. Based on my experience and the platform’s closure, DesireMe is no longer an option for content creators.
DesireMe Review
Overall Experience (Before Closure)
My experience with DesireMe was underwhelming long before the shutdown. I spent over six months actively promoting my videos and subscriptions, but generated no income. On the surface, the platform looked promising. It had a clean interface, was easy to navigate, and included engaging features like GIF avatars and a content search bar. However, none of that mattered without traffic. There weren’t enough users to build a following. One major limitation was the inability to message potential subscribers unless they were already followers. Without followers, you couldn’t engage. Without engagement, you couldn’t grow. It created a frustrating cycle that made earning virtually impossible.
DesireMe Platform Options
Features and Functionality
DesireMe did offer a few appealing features. The option to use GIF avatars made profiles more visually engaging and helped add personality to creator pages. The homepage search bar also made browsing content straightforward, and the overall dashboard layout was clean and simple to navigate. However, these positives were ultimately overshadowed by significant restrictions. Creators lacked flexible options to sell content directly, limiting monetization opportunities. Messaging was locked behind follower requirements, making it difficult to initiate conversations or build new connections. The FAQ section was extremely limited, offering only a few answers and very little real guidance. On top of that, there were no analytics visible, meaning creators could not track profile visitors, follower growth, or engagement. For anyone trying to build a sustainable business, the absence of meaningful performance metrics was a serious disadvantage.
Customer Service and Support
Customer support was minimal. The only way to contact the platform was via a web form. There was no live chat, no direct email communication, and no real transparency about response times. While I never needed urgent support, the absence of accessible help options was concerning—especially for new creators navigating the platform.
Income Tracking and Payments
The income tracking dashboard was simple and clear. Your withdrawal balance was visible in the menu, with the following: Minimum payout: £20; Payment method: International Bank Transfer only. Although I personally didn’t earn anything, it’s important to note that when DesireMe shut down, they handled the closure professionally by paying creators their outstanding earnings. That level of responsibility deserves recognition.
Business Model Transparency
Transparency was one of DesireMe’s weakest points. There were no visible metrics to track: Profile views, Follower growth, Engagement rates, Traffic sources. After six months of zero earnings and no measurable data, it became difficult to trust the platform’s effectiveness. Without insights or admin communication, creators were essentially operating in the dark.
The Closure & Relaunch Claims
In September 2024, DesireMe announced it was shutting down. To their credit, they communicated the closure respectfully and ensured creators received outstanding payments. At the time, there were statements suggesting a potential relaunch. However, that message is now over a year old, and there have been no meaningful updates. As it stands today, there is no indication that DesireMe is returning.
Recommendation to Content Creators
Given the lack of traffic, Limited earning opportunities, Poor transparency, Communication restrictions, and the platform’s closure, I’m unable to recommend DesireMe to content creators. Even if a relaunch were to occur, the platform would need major structural improvements—particularly in traffic generation, creator tools, analytics, and communication features—to compete in today’s market.
DesireMe’s shutdown is a reminder to only work with platforms that have a track record of consistent payments and transparency. Use trusted adult platforms to avoid wasting time, content, and money.
