Maloum is a basic creator platform that combines subscriptions, chat, blogging, and a webshop for digital and physical products. While it offers straightforward income tracking and automatic monthly payouts without a minimum threshold, it lacks many features commonly found on competing platforms. Limited traffic, German-only documentation, and a restricted feature set may reduce its appeal for international creators. Overall, it may suit a niche audience but offers limited value compared to more established creator platforms.

Overall Experience
When I joined Maloum, I was curious because it offered a combination of subscriptions, a blog, a webshop for both digital and physical products, and messaging. On paper, that sounded promising. Unfortunately, my personal experience was disappointing. The platform feels very basic and lacks the features that make creator platforms engaging and profitable. After using it for about a month, I only gained 15 followers and didn’t make a single sale. Most of the platform, including important documentation and update emails, is only available in German, which made it difficult for me to fully understand everything. In the end, I decided to stop using the platform because it simply wasn’t generating results for me.

Maloum includes subscriptions, chat, a blog, and a webshop where creators can sell both digital and physical products. I appreciate the ability to offer physical merchandise alongside subscriptions. However, I missed several important features that I consider standard on modern creator platforms, including referral tools, webcam streaming, and custom content request options. Overall, the platform feels very limited compared to many competitors.
Customer Service and Support
Customer support can be reached by email or through the built-in messenger. In my experience, the messenger support was polite and helpful enough when I needed assistance. One downside is that platform updates are sent only in German, which makes communication less accessible for international creators.
Income Tracking and Payments
The earnings dashboard is easy to find, and I had no trouble locating my statistics and payment information. Payouts are processed automatically once per month, and there is no minimum payout threshold, which is a positive feature. At the time of my review, I could only find bank transfer (IBAN) as a payout option and couldn’t determine whether additional payment methods are available.
Business Model Transparency
Because I generated no sales during my time on the platform, it was difficult for me to judge how fair or profitable the business model really is. The FAQ is entirely in German, making it harder for non-German creators to understand the platform’s policies and commission structure. I would have appreciated greater transparency and multilingual documentation.
Recommendation to Other Content Creators
Based on my own experience, I cannot recommend Maloum to most content creators. The platform appears to have limited traffic, lacks several important creator features, and offers little support for an international audience. Unless your primary audience is German-speaking and you’re specifically looking for a very basic subscription platform, I believe there are stronger alternatives available.

The lack of traffic, limited feature set, German-only documentation, and absence of sales during my time on the platform made it difficult to justify continuing. While it may suit a small niche of German creators, it wasn’t the right platform for my business.
